Girl Scouts donate ballistic K9 vest
On January 23, 2014, Girl Scout Troop #1443 presented Sheriff Tim Cameron and the Special Operations Division K9 Unit with a new ballistic K9 vest. The vest will go to K9 Noro who is handled by Corporal William Rishel. The members of Troop #1443, led by Meredith Wilkes-Arnold, earned the majority of the $1,018.51 to purchase the vest by selling fruit cups and lemonade at Earth Day and the Solomon’s Boat Race. They also solicited donations from local businesses.
