CSM Recognizes Students for Leadership, Success

(June 25, 2015) The College of Southern Maryland held an induction ceremony for students into the CSM Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) on May 20. More than 450 colleges nationwide have NSLS chapters with nearly half a million members. CSM started a chapter in 2009. Inductees for the 2014-15 academic year included, first row from left, Bethany Graham of Hughesville, Elizabeth Blackburn of Waldorf, Jared Crisman of Prince Frederick and Enrique Osborne of Waldorf; and second row from left, Kaitlyn Lane of Chesapeake Beach, Corinne Penny of La Plata and Brittany Giammerino of Charlotte Hall. Not pictured were, Tierra Boyd of Prince Frederick, Alexa Gannon of Waldorf, Kaitlyn Lane of Chesapeake Beach, Charles Walker Morris of Abell, David Odenwald of Hollywood and Poju Wei of Huntingtown. Osborne earned NSLS National Engaged Leader Award for attending chapter events and meetings, completing interactive Leadership Training Day and community service requirements. In addition, Osborne earned the Dream Support Grant that recognizes students who “work toward personal goals through hard work, unyielding determination, and unbreakable courage that must defy all odds. The purpose of this grant is to support individuals in achieving their dream” according to NSLS.
