Charles County Board of Education Honors American Education Week

The Charles County Board of Education presented a resolution for American Education Week at their Oct. 13 meeting. Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) highlights American Education Week during the week of Nov. 15-21 to promote public education and those who make a difference in the lives of children. Board of Education Chairman Virginia McGraw, right, presented the resolution to Alton Pearson Benson, Student Board Member and Westlake High School junior, center, and William McLaughlin, an electrician with CCPS and president of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) employee union, left. The resolution is presented annually.
